HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver – Casual Shunter & Driver – Nights – East Anglia

Jack Richards is looking fora Class 1 (C+E) Casual Night Shunter & Driver to work on an ad hoc basis, at our well-established, family run, national haulier.

** Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications from Newly Qualified Drivers with less than 12 months’ Commercial Class 1 (C+E) Driving experience **

Preferred Experience:

• Curtainside Trailers
• Paper Reels & Cardboard Packaging
• Ratchet Strapping

** You must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, hold a UK digital tachograph card and a full DQC (CPC card) **

Role involves:

• Covering Night Shifts across multiple Depots on an “as needed” basis:
• Wissington – Shunting
• March, Wisbech , Fakenham – Driving
• Ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team
• Ensure the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge
• Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

In return you will get:

• £14.00 to £16.00 per hour
• Includes Enhanced Rates after 10 hours
• Also earn an additional:
• Up to £10 per day Meal Allowance (Tax Free)
• £6 per shift worked Retention Bonus
• SAFED Plus Fuel Bonus (up to £4.50 per shift)
