Summary
It is the drivers responsibilities to ensure their vehicle is safe to drive before setting off by conducting a first use walk-around check of the vehicle. This module aims to outline to drivers the responsibilities and defect reporting systems involved in maintaining vehicles in a roadworthy condition, regardless of fleet size, vehicle type or operating conditions. This module will include how to correctly document the walk-around check and review the system of defect reporting.

- The walkround check
- Tyre control
- Vehicle technology & safety devices
- Roadside prohibitions and fixed penalty notices
This course can be combined with any of our other 3½ hour courses to complete the required 7 hours of Driver CPC training.
Course Objective:
By the end of the session, drivers will have been remined to the importance of ensuring vehicles used are in a safe condition . Attending this course will help them to stay safe and keep them – and anyone they may work for – on the right side of the law.
