It's A Small World
Well if you can't afford the outlay of the near £100.000 to buy a unit and trailer, how about scaling down the operation and buy yourself a model fleet.
Below are some of the models of Jack Richards trucks that are available from good toy shops or internet auction sites.

In the picture above the model on the right is of a Bedford S type Artic produced by Corgi in 1:64 Scale. The model on the left is a rare Corgi Bedford S Type Rigid in the same scale. The picture on the right above is of the same type of vehicle in use in the early days of the company.
The Model above is the Tekno 1:50 scale ERF EC11, Corgi also produced a model of this vehicle in the same 1:50 scale

On the left above is the 1:50 scale DAF 95XF released as a unit only model, but seen here coupled to a 1:50 scale Corgi Trailer. On the right is the recently released Oxford Die cast Model in 1:76 scale of a DAF 105XF and trailer

The model on the left above is a 1:76 scale Leyland 8 Wheeler from the Trackside Range, and the model on the right is an ERF Corgi Superhauler in 1:64 scale

The Corgi 1:50 scale model of an Albion Reiver pictured on the left above is very good copy of the real thing pictured on the right above.
Pictured above is the Corgi 1:50 scale model of an ERF ECS coupled to a Corgi flatbed crane trailer
Above is the latest Corgi release a 1:76 scale model of a Mercedes Actros with curtainside trailer, and forms part of the Corgi Roadscene range.

On the left above is a Mercedes Actros pictured at Fakenham in May 2004 and on the right is a model of the same vehicle in 1:50 scale from the Corgi Truckfest Range coupled to a corgi 1:50 curtainside trailer.
We hope you have enjoyed your look at the "Small World" of the Jack Richards truck models and are already planning your own Richards fleet in miniature.
