JACK RICHARDS & SON AS IT IS TODAY & THE ROAD AHEAD

At the moment we employ around 180  road haulage drivers, operating from our Fakenham, Northwich, Wisbech and Norwich depots, as well as another 12 working as rigid drivers at our Palletways depot.  We also have a small team of warehouse staff  at Fakenham and Northwich to look after both our Warehousing customers storage requirements our Road Transport customer's returned goods and pallets.

In the VOSA approved workshops at Fakenham we employ 7 mechanical technicians and 3 apprentices to professionally maintain our Fakenham and Wisbech based fleet of trucks and all of our trailers.

Meanwhile, across our offices in Fakenham, Northwich and Wisbech, we employ another 35 office staff in Traffic Planning, Account Management, Personnel, Payroll and Finance.

These groups of people work together as three teams, Jack Richards Road Transport, which specialises in high quality cost effective road haulage of full loads throughout the UK, Jack Richards Palletways, serving Norfolk as part of the market leading Palletways network and Jack Richards Workshops, providing Commercial Vehicle Workshops for Fakenham and the surrounding area.

We currently have three main depots, (Fakenham our original site and head office), Northwich situated adjacent to the giant Morrison's Northwich RDC and within 5 miles of Tesco's  Middlewich RDC and Wisbech providing a local base for some of our biggest customers based in the Fens. These offices are open 24 hours a day 365 days a year, to provide our customers with the highest standards of service you would expect from a progressive transport company.

For example, not only is all of our fleet of haulage vehicles less than 4 years old, we also use the best and most up to date traffic planning systems, and satellite track our trailers.
